User | Identifies the user. The name or value must be unique for all User records. A Maximo user must be associated with a person record in the People application. If you enter a user name for which no person record exists, Maximo lets you create a person record with the same name when you create the user record. If you choose not to create a person record with the same name as the user name, you make the association with a person in the Person field. | |
Status | Read-only field that indicates whether a user's status is active or inactive. If inactive, a user cannot log in to Maximo. You change a user's status with the Change Status action on the Select Action menu. | |
Type | The system contains users type 1 - 10. In the USERTYPE domain, the descriptions should be updated to reflect the types of users in the license. The appropriate type should be associated with each user id to ensure license compliance. | |

User Name | Name that the user uses to log in to Maximo. The login user name can be the same as or different from the user ID. | |

Person | Identifies the person record in the People application. This field is already filled in if you entered a name in the User field that matched an existing person record or if you let Maximo create a new person record when you added the user. You can also use the Detail Menu button to choose an option and retrieve a person ID from the People application (only active persons who are not users will appear in the Select Value dialog box). | |
Status | The current status of the person. On inserting a new record, this field defaults to an active status. | |
First Name | The first name of the person whose record this is. | |
Last Name | The last name of the person whose record this is. | |
Supervisor | The name of this person's supervisor. | |
Name | A nick name or a friendly name that this person can be identified with.This field is automatically populated when values are entered in the First Name and/or Last Name fields. | |
Primary Phone | The primary phone number that is used to contact this person. Use the People application to add or to modify the phone numbers for this person. To display all phone numbers for this person, click the Show/Manage icon to display the Phone Numbers dialog box. You can modify this number directly in the Primary Phone field if it is the only phone number displayed in the Phone Numbers dialog box for this person. The primary phone number may not be deleted unless it is the only phone number. | |
Primary E-mail | The primary email address that is used to contact this person. Use the People application to add or to modify the email address for this person. To display all email addresses for this person, click the Show/Manage icon to display the E-mail Addresses dialog box. You can modify this email address directly in the Primary E-mail field if it is the only email address displayed in the E-mail Addresses dialog box for this person. The primary email address may not be deleted unless it is the only email address. | |
Workflow Delegate | The delegate for Workflow assignments for this person. If there is a value in this field and if the workflow assignment is received between the Delegate To and Delegate From date, Workflow sends the assignment to the delegate. Enter a value or click Detail Menu to select an option and retrieve a value | |
Memo | Enter, as needed, additional information about the user. | |
Address | The address of this person. | |
City | The city where this person resides. | |
State/Province | The state or province where this person resides; can be the two-character code or full spelling. | |

Default Storeroom for Self-Service Requisitions | When a user enters a material reservation, Maximo enters this site as the storeroom unless the storeroom is determined by some other relationship. If you specify a default storeroom, you must also enter a site in the Storeroom Site field. | |
User Default Application | Specify your preferred default application. If you do not specify an application, either the application specified for your security group or the system default application displays. | |
Language | This person's language preference for using Maximo. | |
Locale | The date format and the currency format used in the region where this person resides. | |

Use Default Insert Site as a Display Filter | Specifies which records the user sees. If the check box is selected, Maximo displays only the records from the site specified in the Default Insert Site field. If the check box is cleared, Maximo displays all records. Note that even if this check box is selected, a user can still see records for all the sites for which they are authorized by clearing the filter. | |
System Account | Specifies whether the user ID can be deleted. If the check box is selected, the user ID is a system account and cannot be deleted. If the check box is cleared, the user ID is not a system account and can be deleted. Maximo has three system users when it is installed (MAXADMIN, MXINTADM, and MAXREG), but you can add others. Maximo requires system users for functions such as chron tasks and self registration. | |
Can Access Inactive Sites | Identifies whether this user can use inactive sites in Maximo applications. With this checkbox selected, the user will then be able to access inactive Sites as well as be able to see the Inactive Organization records they create prior to having adding a clearing account and activating the Organization record. | |
Password Expiration Date | Read-only field that displays a password expiration date if you specify a password duration using the Security Controls action. | |
Use Screen Reader | Indicates whether this user utilizes a screen reader, a device often used by the visually impaired. | |
Email format | The email format you want to use for email interaction. | |
