Communication Template   Tab
  Template Identifies the communication template record. This value must be unique for all communication template records.
  Applies To Maximo business object to which this communication template applies. Some examples include INCIDENT, SR, and CHANGE. For example, if a user is in the Incidents application and applies a template to a record, the list of templates that Maximo displays are those with the Applies To value of INCIDENT. Click the Select Value button to choose an object.
  Accessible From Indicates from where in Maximo the template is accessible. Possible values include: ALL, APPS, ESCALATION, and WORKFLOW. If you choose ALL, the template can be used from any Maximo application. If you choose APPS, the template is available from the Create Communication action in all applications, but cannot be used in Escalations or Workflow. Chosing either ESCALATION or WORKFLOW limits the use of the template to within that specific application. Click the Select Value button to indicate from where the template can be accessed.
  Track Failed Messages Flag to specifiy if failed email messages should be logged in the COMMLOG table
  Comm Log Entry Determines if a Comm Log Entry is generated for communications utilizing this communications template
  Created By Name of person who created the template. Maximo uses the logged in user's ID to automatically populate this field.
  Date Date and time the communication template was created.
  Status Status of the communication template. The status can be either ACTIVE or INACTIVE. Only active templates can be applied from Escalations, Workflow, or the Create Communication action in the Maximo applications.
  Attachments 1. Click "Attachments" to display "View Attachments" dialog

  To List of recipients included in the To field of the communication. These recipients are the direct audience for the communication. Maximo populates this field based on the role(s), person(s), person group(s), or e-mail address(es) you selected on the Recipients tab.
  cc List of recipients included in the cc field of the communication. These recipients receive a copy of the communication. Maximo populates this field based on the role(s), person(s), person group(s), or e-mail address(es) you selected on the Recipients tab.
  bcc List of recipients included in the bcc field of the communication. These recipients receive a copy of the communication without the knowledge of any other recipients. Maximo populates this field based on the role(s), person(s), person group(s), or e-mail address(es) you selected on the Recipients tab.
  Send From E-mail address that the communication is sent from.
  Reply To The email address to which a recipient of the communication replies. If an email address is not specified in this field, then the reply email is sent to the email addrress in the Send From field.
  Subject Subject of the communication. Click the Detail Menu button to add substitution variables in the Subject line. Maximo populates the substitution variables with the appropriate information from the applicable record when the message is sent.
  Message Body of the communication. Click the Detail Menu button to add substitution variables. Maximo populates the substitution variables with the appropriate information from the applicable record when the message is sent.

Recipients > Role(s) for Communication Template > Details    
  Role Identifies the role that to which you are sending the communication. Maximo resolves this role to a single person. For example, you may have a value for WOLEAD, which resolves to the lead person on a work order.
  To Specifies whether the communication is directly intended for the recipient(s). If the check box is selected, Maximo places the recipient(s) in the To field of the communication. If the check box is cleared (the default), Maximo does not place the recipient(s) in the To field.
  cc Specifies whether the communication is to be copied to the recipient. If the check box is selected, Maximo places the recipient(s) in the cc field of the communication. If the check box is cleared (the default), Maximo does not place the recipient(s) in the cc field.
  bcc Specifies whether the communication is to be copied to this recipient without the knowledge of the other recipients. If the check box is selected, Maximo places the recipient(s) in the bcc field of the communication. If the check box is cleared (the default), Maximo does not place the recipient(s) in the bcc field.

  Person Identifies the person or people to which you are sending the communication.

Recipients > Person Group(s) for Communication Template > Details    
  Person Group Identifies the group of people to which you are sending the communication. If you select the Broadcast? option, Maximo sends the communication to all members in the group. If you do not select the Broadcast? option, Maximo resolves the group to a single individual based on calendars (that is, a person who is currently on shift and working). Maximo then sends the communication to that one person.
  To Specifies whether the communication is directly intended for the recipient(s). If the check box is selected, Maximo places the recipient(s) in the To field of the communication. If the check box is cleared (the default), Maximo does not place the recipient(s) in the To field.

If the check box is cleared, Maximo resolves the group to a single individual based on calendars (that is, a person who is currently on shift and working). Maximo then sends the communication to that one person.

Recipients > E-mail(s) for Communication Template > Details   Section
  E-mail E-mail address to which you are sending the communication, typically used when the recipient does not exist as a person record in Maximo.

  Application The name of the record's application to which a user has attached document.
  Description Application Description
  Document Folder The name of a folder assigned by a user that is associated with this application.
  Description Value assigned by a user that describes the document folder.
  Send with Communication? Non-persistent column used in Comm Template doc folder.
