Status | The current status of the asset template. The status values are Draft, Active, or Inactive.
Organization | Identifies the organization the asset template belongs to.
Asset Template > Details | Section
Asset Description | The description of the asset record when you apply the template. Note: When you apply the template, data in the Asset Description field on existing assets is replaced with data from this field. If this field is blank, the content of the Asset Description field on existing asset records is not changed. To enter or view additional information, click Long Description.
Year | Year of make or manufacture of the asset. Note: When you apply the template, data in the Year field on existing assets is replaced with data from the template's Year field. However, if the template's Year field is blank, the contents of the Year field on asset records are not changed.
Manufacturer | The manufacturer of the asset. Enter a value or click Detail Menu to specify the manufacturer.
Model | Manufacturer's model name or model number for the asset. Note: When you apply the template, data in the Model field on existing assets is replaced with data from the template's Model field. However, if the template's Model field is blank, the content of the Model field on asset records is not changed.
Asset Type | The type of asset. Click Detail Menu to select from a list of valid asset types. For example, valid asset types might include facilities, operations, and so on. Note: When you apply the template, data in the Type field on existing assets is replaced with data from this field. However, if this field is blank, the content of the Type field on existing asset records is not changed.
Component | Alphanumeric code that identifies a specific component of an asset. You use component codes to identify the area or part of the asset that someone is doing maintenance work on, or, with an item, to identify where that item fits on the asset. You can organize component codes into hierarchies to indicate their relationship to one another. Example: 013 = Brakes. 013-001 = Front Brakes and Drums (Child of 013). 013-001-013 = Shoe and Lining Assembly, Front Brake (Child of 013-001).Note: When you apply the template, data in the Component field on existing assets is replaced with data from the template's Component field. However, if the template's Component field is blank, the content of the Component field on asset records is not changed.
Component Position | Alphanumeric code that identifies the position of a component on an asset. You typically use position codes when more than one of the components exists on the asset (tires, for example). You can organize position codes into hierarchies to indicate their relationship to one another. Example: CS = Curb Side. CSA1 = Curb Side, Axle 1. CSA1I = Curb Side, Axle 1, Inner.

If this field is blank, the content of the Usage field on existing asset records does not changed.
Repair Limit (%) | Maximum amount that you should spend for a single work order for the asset. The repair cost limit is expressed as a percentage of the current value of the asset. The current value of the asset is the current depreciated value, which Maximo determines from the depreciation schedule. For example, if you never want to spend more than fifty percent of the asset's current value on a work order for that asset, enter 50 in this field. Maximo compares the resulting calculated repair limit amount to the total planned costs on a work order to determine if the work order should be approved. If this field is empty (null), there are no limitations on work order cost. If zero (0) is entered in the field, any repair cost would exceed the limit.
Purchase Price | The amount of the original purchase or capital cost for the asset. Note: When you apply the template, data in the Purchase Price field on existing assets is replaced with data from this field. If this field is blank, the content of the Purchase Price field on asset records does not changed.
Replacement Cost | Present replacement cost for an identical asset or a substitute. Use this value to determine the trade-off costs of continued maintenance versus replacement purchase. Note: When you apply the template, data in the Replacement Cost field on existing assets is replaced with data from this field. If this field is blank, the content of the Replacement Cost field on asset records is not changed.
Budgeted | Budgeted cost of work on this asset for the year. Note: When you apply the template, data in the Budgeted field on existing assets is replaced with data from this field. If this field is blank, the content of the Budgeted field on existing asset records does not changed.
Priority | Priority of the asset. You can use this field with the Priority field in Work Order Tracking (Cal). The priority of a work order is then determined on this asset relative to "competing" work orders. Assign the highest priority to assets you least can afford to have down. Assign the lowest priority to those assets whose repairs can wait until more important work is finished. Note: When you apply the template, data in the Priority field on existing assets is replaced with data from this field. However, if this field is blank, the content of the Priority field on existing asset records does not changed.
Operator Qualifications | The qualifications that are needed to operate the asset. If no qualifications are required to operate the asset, the field reads NONE. If a single qualification is required, it is listed in this field. If more than one qualification is required, the field reads MULTIPLE. Rollover | The rollover point for a continuous meter. After this point, the meter returns to its minimum value, for example zero, because the meter has reached its maximum capacity. For example, the rollover point for an odometer might be 999,999.
Reading Type | Reading type for the meter name. The value defaults to either ACTUAL or DELTA depending on the meter name.
Accept Rolldown From | Specifies the source, such as a parent asset or location, from which the meter of the asset accepts meter reading deltas. A value of NONE indicates that the meter does not accept rolled-down readings from a parent.
Sliding Window Size | The number of readings, days, weeks or months to include in a sliding average meter unit calculation.
Average Units/Day | Average meter reading units or usage per day. The average is calculated based on the type in the Average Calculation Method field and the value in the Sliding Window Size field. For example, if the average calculation method is ALL, all readings are used to calculate the average. If the average calculation method is STATIC, the average is not calculated. Instead, you must enter a static (unchanging) value in the Average Units/Day field. That value is used as the average. For PM meters, the value in this field is used to calculate PM due dates. The frequency defined in the PM (for example 3000) is divided by the average (for example 100). The resulting value (30, in this example) is the number of days that is added to the Last Completion Date or Last Target Start field. This resulting value determines the next due date of the PM.
Specifications | Tab | |
Classification | When you specify a classification for an object, you can organize related parent and child objects in a hierarchical structure, similar to a file directory. You can then drill up and down through the hierarchy to view associated items. Create and manage classifications in the Classifications application.

Asset | The current identifier of the existing asset. By default, this will remain the asset identifier after you apply the template, but you can edit this field. The Asset field is for the system asset identifier, the value that the system uses to track the asset. An asset can also have one or more aliases. Transportation (Tr) applications have an Alias field next to the Asset field. You can enter either a system asset identifier or an asset alias in the Asset field. If you enter an alias, the system recognizes it and replaces it with the system asset identifier. The system moves the alias to the read-only Alias field. Some applications do not have an Alias field that is paired with the Asset field. In these applications, if you enter an asset alias in the Asset field, the alias is simply replaced by the system asset identifier. An alias can be associated with more than one asset. If you enter such an alias in the Asset field, the system displays a Select Value list of the assets that have that alias.
